Delta's subject forums via internet

  • Learners who have internet access can join selected subject forums
  • Forums provide a platform for regular, cost effective communication between the learner and subject advisor
  • A facilitator can be placed within a centre through the use of forum technology.

Subject support services

  • Enquires with regard to subjects without a subject forum can be made to Delta's subject advisers via e-mail, telephone or fax.
  • All enquires that require intense timorous explanations are regarded as extra lessons
  • You may negotiate with subject advisors as to the presentation of extra classes or the implementation of assessment at an additional fee

Assessment services and reports, grades 1 - 11

  • Delta sets annual formal examinations for grades 1 - 11 and assesses the answers during the allocated assessment period.
  • This end of year exam counts up to 75% of the final report percentage.
  • Parents and centres send the year mark (formative assessment), which counts 25%, to Delta on official mark sheets
  • Year marks are obtained from terms 1, 2 and 3s test results and projects.
  • The tests, with memos, and assignments can be found in each subjects parent guide.
  • Tests for terms 1, 2 and are assessed by parents and at support centres.
  • Delta calculates the final exam and year mark and issues a valid report card for grades 1 - 11
  • In the event that the year mark and exam mark differ by more than 15%, the year mark will be rejected and the final mark will be the only mark considered for the report card.
  • This precaution ensures the integrity of Delta's report card.
  • All exams for grades 1 - 11 are completed either at home or at a Delta support centre.
