Support Centres

What about support groups and Support Centres?

Support groups or support centres consist of five or more families working together to ensure that parents serve the best interest of the child. The support group/ centre can at times hire a specialist teacher to assist the parents particularly in Mathematics, Physical Science, technical subjects etc

  • Support groups/ centres render bona fide support services to parents who want to educate their children at home. However, it definitely does not replace the parent as responsible teacher.

  • Support groups/ centres may specialise in subjects such as Music, Art etc. and have the ability to grow to large and important educational and cultural service pools in their community. A dynamic support group/centre can make an important contribution paying attention to the socialising needs in the home-schooling community.

  • Support groups/ centres are owned, controlled and managed by either the parent or institutions, or communities of interest or entrepreneurs. Delta Education supplies the educational product and ensures the high quality thereof. Support groups/ centres are encouraged to create their own unique character within the broader Delta framework and to develop its independency to the full.

  • Delta's pricelist is structured for support centre learners to pay up to 28% less than individual learners. Support centres may determine their own additional fees to generate an income for the centre.
